This series has been made alongside development of a larger immersive work. That piece – a play between a physical book and a digitally delivered story – is scheduled for release in summer 2022. These works are composed in response to emerging ideas and techniques within that project. Reference points include the cut-up writing techniques developed by William Burroughs, the anarchitectural practice of Gordon Matta-Clark (Matta-Clark cut holes in buildings) and a preoccupation with a series of images my girlfriend calls ‘dead girls’.
