Cross Modal Design

Or, working in the gap between physical media and digital technology.

Each iteration of literary form – especially those exploiting merged or mixed media presentations – necessarily rework expected conventions in order to ground their reader, but each also asks their audience to learn the ways in which a story is being told. Character voice, narrative perspective, literary structures and more are all manners of storytelling through which an audience implicitly understands how to read the work they are presented with. These projects explore those ideas, usually asking their reader to traverse forms and geographies, and each (hopefully) moves my core practice forward.
